#144639 Check your radiator first. If the coolant looks like a chocolate milkshake (dead serious here), then you have a blown head gasket. If it's nice and green, you have either blown rings, wasted valve seals, or excessively worn valve guides. Whatever the case may be, this engine is screaming for a full overhaul. Either that or your car is screaming for a swap.

Your catalytic converter and oxygen sensor(s) are also probably effed because of the oil vapors and smoke.

#144668 I can't say that definitively. How much do you want to spend? How much down time can you afford? What are the limits to your mechanical aptitude? Are you willing, and can you afford to take it to a shop if absolutely necessary?

#144675 check your oil filter. maybe when u changed the oil u didnt install it right. could b the source of a slow but bad leak. hence the month to notice.

#144685 yup sounds like the old oil filter gasket stuck to the block replace your oil filter. always make sure your car is completly free of the old gasket.
