- Tue Oct 13, 2009 6:28 pm #150484 ok so today i went to my junkyard for stuff for a volvo but ended up finding a 60k 5spd teg was just dropped in the yard it hadnt been on the road since 2004 or something like that. but i now have a b series trans with low miles and it looks that way to i could eat off the trans well if it wasnt well anyhow.....so this among other things has gotten me pissed yet at the same time happy happy because now i have a bseries trans and all i need now is the motor which i might go back if i get some money and grab that one.....but pissed because why why would you junk something like that at least post it on craigslist for 200 because im sure thats what they got for it if not something less....i mean come on so far theres been a couple hatches with minimal quarter rust and in perfect condition. i just want to go up to the people who junk these cars and punch them so something i mean come on now......

- Tue Oct 13, 2009 6:34 pm #150487 for some people it is just more hassle to sell a car then to take it to the junkyard. you have to keep in mind that not every person views that car as you do. that said, run on sentence

well weve got that here we actually had a full ebayed 4dr that went in the yard. amber corners full exhaust etc......but i mean if people didnt junk their cars and sold them then youd have a parts car right there strip it and then sell the scrap.....but yea theres cars in there like this one time there was a 1980's volvo 242 ive wanted one of those for the longest time but low and behold it was decked out in IPDusa stuff which is very high priced stuff sways alone are 500 but this had strut bars, etc.....body was ok i mean paint was shot but who cares it was still a good runner as well. also theres been quite alot of classic cars such as fiats and mg's going down in the yard along with a few datsuns that look mint i mean even the paint looks waxed. idk i just dont like how you can even buy the car out of the yard because they scrap the titles......ohhh well.

- Tue Oct 13, 2009 10:58 pm #150548 Lots of them are "total losses" from insurance that the owners took a settlement on and didnt want to buy back. They get sold to junk yards for cheap or auctioned. I love lamp.
