#164056 whats up guys and merry christmas, I have been collecting parts and getting ready to do a major build up of my hatch, and I finally got to pull it in my shop to start on her. So little by little I will be posting pics of parts and work I get done.

list of things I am doing
-ppg frost white inside and out
-15" gold slips
-blox purple lugs
-purple password fender washers
-gutting it
-wire tuck
-remove hvac
-remove radio and speakers
-built b20
-gold or purple lca's

I am having the shell media blasted then all new quarters, there gonna line everything up, then it will be sprayed ppg frost white inside and out.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!12/26/09 UPDATE New pics!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well finaly got the wife to let me go to the shop and work on the hatch so I took more pics of the process.

just some pics of the interior before the teardown

All the parts in the back actually belong to another hatch project that I am doing
Image
got the rear seats out
Image
starting on the quarter plastic
Image
just a shot from the back
Image
the quarters are actually in good shape, just the drivers side has a tiny hole so I want it all done to prevent any future rust
Image
when I was taking the rear glass struts off I noticed that the buttons that go through the rear glass that the strut bolts to were loose and the metal was all distorted from supporting the weight of the glass, which made a gap and was leaking. I never thought to check these before when I have a leak, but now I will.
Image
Image
So since this car will be outside in the rain eventually while its being gutted I will need somthing to fill in the holes in the rear glass where the buttons used to be, and I didnt want to put tape on them cause the adhevise would eventually stick to the glass and I would probably end up messing up the rear defroster getting it off so I put a little piece of electircal tape on the inside and used my cordless hot glue gun and filled them in sealing them up.
Image
Image
This is the cordless hot glue gun I used, this thing is worth every penny, great tool, plus you can mess with the guys you work with and glue there stuff to there boxes, shit is hilarious.
Image
some pics of the headliner out
Image
takin the carpet out
Image
Pretty much done
Image
carpet is out
Image
and it's just about done now, gotta start the dash and finish takin out the rear seat belts
Image
just a pic of the autometer digital oil pressure gauge and pod my wife got me for christmas
Image
She also got me a password jdm balanced shift knob and dc sports dual bend shortthrow shifter, I highly recomend it, super smooth short throws.
Image
Another christmas present
Image
A huge pile of shit on my car lol

Well thats about it for tonight, I am gonna go to the shop tomorrow and start the dash and all the window trim and what not, so I will update tomorrow.

Thanks for the compliment, As for the rims well I saw them in a junkyard on a ek hatch, I never seen those wheels before so I picked them up for 50.00 bucks for all 4 with tires. So I am not selling them sorry bro, they are perfect winter wheels.

#165064 Well I was able to get the car in today and do some stuff to it, nothing major just little things I had to do, I am trying to get everything in the car done for the wire tuck, then when I have everything figured out and ready it gets completly gutted and flatbedded to the body shop. Any way here are some pics from today.

I made a temporary guage mount for my gauges, I have sportcomp digi oil press, sport comp digi water temp, and aem uego to go in the gauge pod, I just wanted to get them mounted for now so I made this plate but I think I may end up keeping this instead of using the triple gauge pod that everybody can see in my window.

it's amazing what you can do with old road signs
Image
man a cage would look so good in here
Image
got my circuit hero shift extender in, here is the set up, password jdm.com purple balanced shift knob, dc sports dual bend short throw, circuit hero.com's shift extender, If you have never used one of these I suggest you do it's the best setup I have ever had, you get to smash gears through tight turns then get your hand back to the wheel quicly.
Image
I allready had the knob on tight and straight so I took the pic with it on
Image
it puts the shifter close to the wheel, awsome setup
Image
I got my energy suspension shifter bushings in
Image

On a side note I would like to add that I am having fun dirving my hatch around with nothing in it, it is crazy fast now with the ls vtec, I cant imagine how it's gonna be with a built b20 and all that torque, ohwell untill next time I hope everbody has a happy and safe new year.
