Ok. A little insight into how i got where i am. The timing belt snapped on my perfectly running d16z6 engine with 205,000 miles(94 civic ex). So instead of messing around with the high mileage engine i would swap it for a lower mileage jdm d16zc sohc. Upon installing it i realised it had a terrible knock and was pilling up metal shards in the oil pan. Once i returned the engine to the seller they said they do not have another d16zc sohc to replace it with.(even though i called twice earlier in the week to confirm that they did) So i settled for a d15b and 100. cash back. I was told that the performance numbers are the same and the swap would be as if it were the original z6 engine. No need to modify or change ecu or anything like that. What is true and what is not and how do i know exactly which d15b i have? The block is stamped= HM D15b 2461600 and has a single vtec solenoid. Please help this will be the third time im putting an engine in this car and although i enjoy this kind of thing its getting tiresome.

great motor same as your z6 cept the stroke is shorter
its a direct swap
