#170525 ok was driving on the main road...

i was coming to a stop and felt my car chugging a bit, then the slower i got, the more it chugged. stopped and felt like it almost stalled, put it in gear one and tried to take off but then it just stalled on me (the car, not me stalling it)

tried to start it up again, but it only kept on cranking with no fire.

prior this this i had a problem by overfilling my engine oil, was planning to drain it this weekend but this happened, and plus i havent driven it over 50k's. could this be the culprit?

suggestions would be really helpful guys,
thanks!

#170707 about 2cm

ok so cars back home and checked a few things
checked the sparks and they were working fine
recently changed the battery so it cant be that

had a mechanic over and see what the problem was
he suggested it could be the distributor

what do you guys think?
could this problem be mainly because i overfilled engine oil??

thanks alot!

#170725 I don't see how the two could be related :?

But you said you're getting spark, so I don't think it is the distributor...

So if you have spark, the next thing to check for is fuel, and then compression, then timing. That's pretty much all you need, along with air, to make a motor run :thumb:

#171567 Def sounds like a fouled plug type situation. Oil can easily foul them. I would spend the 5-10 bucks and put new plugs in. If it fires up make sure you drain the oil and put in the correct amount or else you will have the same problem soon again. If this doesn't help result to a more serious approach like the last post. He's 100 percent right but too much oil would lean itself to a plug situation unless its unrelated the the overfill.
