yepp thats what everyone tells me so im just gona end up taking them out. yeah me and jordan(jman8108) and a few other friends went driving around pretty much ALL day looking for M10 1.25 pitch 20length harden bolts for the t3 to ihi adapter plate and ended up with a bunch of ideas and bolts that wont work. so tomorrow morning im gona have to order the specific bolts in but a lot of the places have to buy in bulk and cant just get the 4 i need so i might have to end up paying for like 20 bolts so if anybody wants some M10 1.25pitch bolts im sure to have a lot of them.
after driving around for 5 or 6 hours and coming back empty handed we finished wiring in the resistors and soldering them. heres how they turned out.
i also got my manifold back today but couldnt mount it up because i didnt have the bolt so none of the charge pipes got complete going to the turbo. but theres a little story about the mani... i call them to see when itll be done... today woulda been a week since i took it in to them.. they say itll be done about wednesday and im like well i need it to be able to drive my car so im just gona come get it and say screw the ceramic coating. so i show up and the guys like we had a little accident it got thrown in with a black ceramic coating so if u want we can give it to u for $53(after tax) other than the $65 and im like whatever i just need it back and he goes to get it and takes some time and then comes out with it and says its still a little warm and i go to touch it and i cant hold it cause it so hot.. so all in all i think he just did that to get the money outta me cause if i didnt want the black i woulda had to wait even longer for the silver ceramic but it turned out real nice and i kinda like it more than the silvler it woulda been..
also got the phearable chipped ecu in today and got the car started with just open header... fired up first try and ran extremely good for just a basemap. didnt get any pics of the install but it was simple enough.
accomplishments for today:
-finished wiring the injectors
-got the manifold back
-finished charge pipes to the intake manifold
-drove around for about 6 hours for some damn bolts that i didnt get
-car started up first try!
whats left:
-order bolts
-mount turbo and manifold
-take out the foglights
-run charge pipes to the turbo
-connect oil feed line and return line
-put the bumper back on
-GO TUNING!!
also i ran into a little problem with where the turbo is gona sit... the manifold comes out really close the the condensor fan and im pretty sure is gona interfere with it when i bolt the turbo onto the manifold.. is the only way around this without taking it out is to run a slim fan?
