14x7 is a wide rim. The Tires remind me of the tires I had on my 4x4 Toyota Pickup. It gives an aggressive look to it. I like it., I never see this look on Civics.

Seams to be a good set of Winter Wheels, From all the snow on the ground probably a good idea.

#168957 I found a K series EK coupe to play with today. 8)

Cruisin along on my way home from a store I see a loud blue Civic ahead of me with a big aluminum wing, altezzas and a fartcan. He falls back to pace me, then gives it a BRAAP past me a little, I give him a BRAAAHH-tssh back. Then he floors it with the clutch in and rides the limiter a bit and it's like BRABABABABAB, so I'm like, ok, that ain't no D series. I pace next to him again and roll down the passenger window, our little conversation went like this:

Him: What do you got?
Me: Turbo single cam. You?
H: Nice. K20
M: Really?! Fuck.
H: Yeah. How much horsepower you have?
M: About 200.
H: 280
M: Wanna run em?
H: Yeah, follow me.

He turns off onto a 4 lane side street and I follow, no traffic whatsoever. Perfect. I downshift to second and start to pace him about 30mph. He starts the three honks and I nail the gas and brake to start to spool. He makes the third honk, I jump off the brake, my car lurches forward with delicious torque and I spin through the rest of second and instantly pull a bunch on him. 60mph, into third, little spin/chirp and I extend my lead. 95mph, into fourth, I keep it floored and still pulling away from him. Let off around 110-115 and braked. Had about 2 and a half to 3 lengths on him when I let off. I think he may have been embellishing those horsepower figures, but a K20 swapped Civic still ain't small potatoes. ;)

We pace again, this time at like 20mph.

H: That thing rips! What kind of spool you got?
M: It's just a little turbo, spools really quick. Nice run.
H: Yeah you too.

It's at this point we hear a siren approaching, we sort of look at each other and make an o: face then laugh.

H: Better watch out.
M: You too man, see ya.

He takes off down the street, I hang a left into the parking lot of some industrial supply store to wait out the siren. Turned out to be an ambulance.

Honestly I would say that car is more sleeper than mine, because who would expect a stock looking Civic with tail lights, a wing, and a fartcan to be packing a K20. I definitely thought he just had a little 90hp D series in there until he brapped the shit out of the rev limiter. Fuck I was grinning all the rest of the way home. :mrgreen:

#185033 Update time!

LOTS of work in the last week.

Sunday the D16Z6 seized, so my cousin and l swapped in a D16ZC he had. Started and ran, but there was a CEL, a coolant leak, and a backyard rigged distributor.

Monday l went to picknpull and got the proper distributor, then went back to my cousin's. We put that in, fixed the coolant leak, then cleaned up the aftermath of a dirty, dirty swap.

Tuesday in school l replaced a caliper that was leaking a bit. Later l dropped by dynomotive and Toma turned off VTEC in the ECU for me so that it doesn't throw a CEL anymore.

Wednesday in school l started a suspension install, got the fronts completely done with 10 minutes to spare, so we started to do one corner of the rear and of course an LCA bolt snapped.

Today we only had 2 hours in the shop so l had to bust ass to get it drivable again. Took a combination of sawzall + die grinder + air chisel to get the job done, but it's on the road for the weekend. Currently lowered at 3/4 corners hahaha.

Tuesday it'll be that last corner, a GSR rear sway, then outer tie rod ends if we have time.

Here's a shot of the new engine. It's a D16ZC non-VTEC. And it moves. :)

When l'm done messing around l might get the bay detailed, cause it needs it, bad.

Also you probaly dont but if you do still have said valve cover with the Honda emblem on it ill trade ya for a Vtec valve cover....ive been looking high and low for one .....

l'll try and get rid of the valve covers locally first but if l can't l'll let you know.

Oh yeah and blacksilo, the head seized, but the bottom end was knocking and sounded like it wanted to chuck a rod out.

so did you throw a bearing in the bottom?
that's weird about the head, i have never heard of that...i see stock z6 heads take 400whp and be just fine, well good thing you got her back on her feet :thumb:

Going for 300+ to the wheels. On pump for DDability. :woot:
