#198496 I sit at a desk here at work in a 20 yr old Herman Miller chair, then I get home and do more work sitting in an even crappier chair.

A couple months ago when I was working a ton at home I started to get a shooting pain in my left leg & my ass/tail bone kinda hurt.

I'm 99% sure it's my 8+ yr old $60 staples chair at home causing the problems. Sometimes while working at home I can feel my back starting to hurt after a while. I borrowed a Herman Miller Aeron Chair for a week to test my theory and the pain was gone.

I don't really want to drop $600+ on a chair for home...
post your desk chair, how long you've had it, how much it was, and how you like it.

thanks :thumb:

#198845 I have a cheap ass chair at home, but i sit in a Steelcase Leap chair http://www.steelcase.com/en/products/category/seating/task/leap/pages/overview.aspx

But I would go with a Steelcase Think chair. C&B sells it for $659 http://www.crateandbarrel.com/family.aspx?c=1080&f=29359 or at Officesight (not sure about website, but did a google search and it came up cheaper) http://www.officesight.com/stthch.html

Or you can go here for pre-own chairs that is half off. http://owp.yourensync.com/preown/catalog/details.asp?CatViewId=384&parent=0&child=6910&usercatcode=OWPWEB_A&catalogtype=i

I say, spend the money as the chair defines how you sit and your back will be glad you made the purchase.

#198868 why not buy a cheap chair build a frame throw either a mercedes , bmw, or another touring car seat on it since touring cars are meant to be driven there for the seats should be a tad more plush and comfy than that of a race seat i actually have a bmw seat bottom on my old cheapy chair and well its a heck of alot comfier than many computer chairs ive sat in .....

but thats just me i tend not to go the route people expect such as pay for a chair and use it lol more than likely its going to end up wearing out in a few years while car seats have to stand the test of time and normally do lol.....
