- Fri Jun 25, 2010 3:21 pm #201957 ok so up intill yestrday i havnt had any probs wit this but outa nowere my car strts leakin from the water pump but im thinkin it cud jus b da seal but idk. so my question is is it possible to over fill the watr pump? an shudi jus change the seal or the whole thing? an if i do change it do i have to do the timing belt to?

I would recommend replacing the timing belt and tensioner since the labor is the same.

- Sat Jun 26, 2010 7:56 pm #202154 Yeah it's not the seal that's leaking. It's leaking through the shaft itself. That's what the weep holes were designed for.

So to summarize this thread. Change the water pump, timing belt, and tensioner, and don't forget the water pump! LOL.
