#205399 I would go with the z6 block & head. The y8 head on z6 block raises compression which may not be what you want for boosting. And the oiling issue is a downfall of the y8, but some are fine. I'd keep it all z6. When you build a frankenstein motor you have to think twice every time you buy something aftermarket.

#205768 Yea dude sell that Y8 they are crap get a stock complete unmolested z6 and you'll be golden. I have had 3 friends with y8 and basic bolts throw rod bearings before 140k and my z6 went 200k with no probs and then it only blew a HG at 201k racing it. Some say its a myth but I honestly believe the y8 have oiLing issues, if they didn't there would be way more of them past 150k.
