@ egbeegee- i wan to but im gunna wait till i get new tires and rims so i can set up everything up in one shot instead of doin everything over and over...but i think i wanna concentrate on my swap before i do that

- Tue Dec 13, 2011 4:11 pm #285218 updates....got my side markers in and on the car...had some troubles but over all it looks good and i got my Ek side skirts on as well...they are a little rough around the edges considering they were THE last set in the junk yard....but i picked them up for $60 :thumb: and im just gunna sand them down a bit and refinish them later on anyway

ill put some pics up later when i get the chance

Did you have to do anything special to get the sidemarker diagram to print out to the right size?

honestly i measured from three spots to where i wanted it to sit...i had no template or anything...i measured from the top of the side molding...the side of the fender(from the front door to the wheel well) and from the top of the fender...then i traced the side marker where i wanted it ...and then traced about 1/4 inch inside the traced line of the side marker.....cut along the inner line and then filed it out to its correct position....it ws time consuming and definitely tedious work...so if yur not confident in doing it with out messing up the first time..try it on some extra sheet metal or something yu may have laying around first...if yu decide to do it let me know how it works out

thanks for the support!! :thumb: :thumb:

all i had to use was a reciprocating saw... :oops: ...but like i stated in earlier post i made a very rough cut then files it down to correct size...took me way too long...but if i had some proper tools...like a dremel...it would have been done muuuch faster and easier..and not to mention less nerve wrecking :lol: :lol:

- Thu Dec 22, 2011 5:28 am #286496 i picked up a wink bar from a friend for $20...i mounted it in the car and took off my visors...but not sure if i like it or not...so i left the regular mirror on for now..ill get pics tomorrow...but can anyone get pics of how they mounted theirs in.??..i feel like i could make it cleaner looking but not sure how...any suggestions?
