- Sun Dec 04, 2011 11:05 pm #284116 so i want cam out my d series im running a mix match engine lol d15b7 head with a d15b block and a d16z6 tranny just giving some info might help lol but im looking for a cam what should i be looking for ?, what brand ? also i was told there are cams out there that basically eliminate the need for vtec cuz the lobes are bigger then stock cam so what should i get ?

- Mon Dec 05, 2011 1:09 am #284132 Well there is no point in just getting cams. Do bolt ons first, then work your way to cams. Also, don't expect big numbers with a SOHC N/A. DOHC will always be a better choice because they can squeeze out more power.

You can still make a fast SOHC though.
