- Sat Mar 09, 2013 2:02 am #328129 well when im driving here recently and you shift into 4th, its not going in 4th as it should feels like something is loose, i dont have a problem with the gear grinding or anything, just seems like when you pull the stick down to go into 4th its like it moves over just enough to catch and not go into gear

- Sat Mar 09, 2013 3:12 am #328132 Check the bolts on linkage under the shifter. The through bolt on the shifter will cause the shifter to feel sloppy. Make sure everything is tight. If you can move the shifter side to side in the cab of the car and it doesn't return to the center position something is loose.

- Sat Mar 09, 2013 1:12 pm #328160 I guarantee there is at least one thing thats worn out and sloppy in your linkage. could be everything combined. the linkage in my coupe is nothing but slop so i ordered all new parts from majestic honda to rebuild it.
