you have a few options to clean the block:
- use a steamer and detergent
- have it hot tanked at a shop (only about $25)
- speay with degreaser such as brake cleaner and pressure wash or hose off.
if you don't use a pressure washer, you might have to scrub some of it off.
be sure that you don't let any water sit on the sleeves for very long or you will get surface rust. dry them right away and spway them with wd40 or something similar.
