#47646 Yeah what a deal! US isn't in a recession my ass!

I know of a professor here who went down to MI and bought a cottage for INCREDIBLY cheap right on the water. Here in Canada the housing market is still hot, so things are still pricey.

Congrats man!

how much did you pay if you dont mind me asking?

just to compare to UK prices.

we got it for $179k incl all appliances, 1 yr warranty, and got the guy to throw in a year of Dish network. He paid $204k in 2004, I feel bad for the guy!
it's bigger than we needed, but it's a good investment and we can live there for longer now.

shit man, so that means you got a house pretty much double the size of the house im looking at buying for nearly £30k cheaper than me!

so you guys get cheap fuel and cheap, big house's... looks like i'll be moving state side soon than i thought :thumb:

#47752 checking in from TX 8)

The house in in Spencer

2.06 acre lot (pretty much the smallest you'll get in that area)

about 2300 sq ft

the lot looks massive because there is a 50 acre farm field behind our lot.
our lot ends at that tiny storage shed & first line of pine trees.

It's only 1/2 hr from Summit Racing Motorsports Park (Norwalk Raceway)
