#60333 hello. fresh noob here.
just got my 94 hatch a wk ago. i bought the car for a daily driver, but it apparently needs some work done to it.
to start this off, the motor is 1.6 not too sure if its vtec or not. interior is ripped off, exterior is just ok. can someone tell me where i can find how-to sections?
thinking about tearing the whole car apart and reassemble it myself. Ijust want a daily driver stockish car. no turbo or nothing, in that matter i already have an evo and its killing me on gas these days.
throw me some ideas about the fix that i need;
Problems:
1. suspension - the car is sitting on some aftermarket lowering springs with 17"s and it just looks horrible.

2. interior - no radio unit, no alarm, no horn(it makes weird alarm noise instead of normal sound), tweeter spots on the passenger side door, few missing A/C vents.

3. engine? - no power steering, A/C unit

4. exterior - hatch tailgate missing lights(customized i guess?), tailgate hinge?(connecting the little window on the back of the car) broken, headlights dont line up wtih QPs nor hood.

5. noisy - when i sit in the car, i hear everything happening out on the road even all windows/doors are closed all the way. - maybe dynomat(?) will cover this part?

please please please help the noob out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumb:

#60372 click the forum button at the top, then FAQ in the dropdown menu. it explains pics in the FAQ. You'll have to host your pics on Photobucket or Imageshack or something similar.

#60430 Welcome to the site, man. Wth did the previous owner do to the car? I suggest you strip the whole interior and get better ones from the scrapyard, get those ones with the tweeter slots already.

The only nice things were the wheels, amber corners, and the lip. It'll be a good project if you really put your time on it. Goodluck man! :thumb:

Hope not and even if anyone has "tried" they probably never finished!

Please include your location in your profile so we know where you are.

You are a long way off from swapping anything right now. Focus on getting the car running right:

Get some new plugs and wires.
Flush the coolant. (check thermostat and fan switch)
Check the cap and rotor.
Clean that air filter or get a new one.
Check engine timing.

After that the first thing I would do is pull those rear wheels off and check the rear quarters. They look in pretty decent shape but I see some yellowing which could be bad. If there is no rust I recommend cleaning out the wheel wells real good and then getting yourself a can of undercoating and respraying both. If there is rust you can try to use Por15 to stop it but it's nearly impossible once started.

After that I would tackle the interior. I had a white hatch just like your and the blue is hideous. Once we find out where you are we can start helping you to source parts. You should be able to change the whole car over to black pretty easily.

Make sure to post pics as you go. We love to see a work in progress.

Feel free to throw out any questions you have. I'll help in any way I can.

I dont want the car to be black, indeed i wanna leave the color as it is right now. anyways, thank you for your suggestions about maintaing the motor and all.

Get some new plugs and wires. - Autozone(?)
Flush the coolant. (check thermostat and fan switch) Autozone(?)
Check the cap and rotor. (how?)
Clean that air filter or get a new one. (new one from?)
Check engine timing. (where or how?)

interior wise, i just got the repair manual from ebay($1.99 no one can beat that!!!!!!!!!! lol), and planning to tear the whole thing out and put some new parts with dynamat. what you think?
