#73414 Well as for having it in that weekend... didnt happen. but i have got most of the bay together, other then the engine and hooking things in.

So i have a few more pics and some progress.

Ok i havent posted anything about the engine bay since this pic.

And Teal dx said,
good progress! your harness turned out looking good!

I would have degreased & cleaned the whole bay before I started grinding & welding though. Now you're going to have to do it at some point before you paint, and you've got all the bare metal showing now = more chance of rust.

So what i did is De-greased around the bare metal and sanded it then primed the spots, hoping for no rust contamination. I didnt get many pics because my camera eats batteries and i just haven't gotten around to getting a new set of rechargables... So i'll give ya what i got.

I used Mini fiber, alot of hand sanding! I also used spot putty after i sanded and primed. Once its primed and if you have a light in your hand any little imperfections will be seen in because of shadows, (drywall finishers trick).

And here are some pics.

i also dont have any pics of the rad support going on. but it was pretty stright forward.

once i finish sanded, and dusted it all off, with a light brush and a tack cloth. then i was ready for paint.

championship white :thumb: but now that i have it done... i realize that the white is going to be a whore to keep clean. Anyhow, the things we do for our cars. i put about 4 coats on, a few small touch ups in between the first and second coat.

I cut most of the seam sealer out of this seam, and put new stuff in then layed it all down with my finger. then to smooth it up really nice i used spot putty.. my only worrie is that it may crack.. but i doubt it.

Once it was painted and i let it sit for about 2 weeks(away for work) before i started putting anything together.

i painted up the factory tow hooks and bolts.

Got the brake booster looking like new ands installed.

I got a good start on my brake lines that night too... it took me a few screw ups and flaring before i put the fitting on:x to get it down pretty easily.

And from inside:
