Well before i start i should explain why there are no pics right now even at the start of this build...well my computer is down for the moment its a pissy little thing but I am fixing it slowly now. but im on my laptop which right now has limited capabilities....but hopfully pics will be up soon.
Ok now that thats over here we go.........
Car-1995 Honda civic Cx with a swaped D16Z6 in it probaly producing a decent amount of power though not near enough for me.
Project info:
Well this idea started awhile back when I purchased a 1994 Si that had a B18a1 turbo in it...of coarse the guy took it out before i got it since i got it for free. I thought i was going to end up putting my Z6 in my Cx into it and a B into my Cx. but now due to me not getting a motor in time and funds slowly slipping away because i cant handle alot of money without buying other things for my car....or fr pleasure (no not prostitutes i bought a '84 Honda fourtrax atv)... but now ive gotten down and figured well I am just going to Turbo the Z6 and see what happens if i like it or not if not i can always sell the kit i make. since ive never owned or been in a civic with boost ive never experienced it.
So now onto the main subject the build
Plans....
using a CRX HF manifold I got in a trade for a obd0 ecu i had around. I plan on getting an adapter plate either make one like they do on homemadeturbo or buy one....I plan on taking advantage of a DSM2 T-25 garret turbocharger that i purchased for $50 from my local junk yard. and mating it with the hf manifold and the adapter plate. and going from there since this si really as far as I ave gotten. but there is still alot I am planning on getting
-Since I own a welder I am going to be making my own downpipe and exhaust probaly featuring a edlebrock CAT. or something like that.
-Plan on buying a sandwich to allow for a oil pick up and getting another Z6 oil pan to use for a oil drop off area.
-of coarse lines for oil and coolant since this turbo is cooled by both
-intercooler I am thinking a side mount style but placing it where the A/c would of been depending on access and room
-Still looking for a good tuning program/ MAP for the ecu this is probaly where most of my money is going
-Probaly going to get a bunch of pipin together for the routing of the turbo and stuff.
-Blow off valve
-Guage for the boost and a good boost controller
-injectors from a DSM1 turbo 4g63 motor might just see if my buddy wants to sell his
-And gaskets galore definately going to rebuild the turbo just because thats always something i do if its pretty simple and i know what im doing and also its a cheap way to ensure the turbo will be good while running and wont mess up.
Well thats it for now gotta go back to fixing my computer so I can get some pictures up for you guys probaly going to start cleaning up the hf manifold tonight getting it ready for porting.
UPDATED INFO:
Well I decided to get myself a OBD0 ZC and convert it into OBD1 for my cx hatch instead of using the Z6 since that is going to get its gaskets refreshed and placed into my SI.....
