#81630 Well there's 2 brands I've used the most. Eagle and manley.
But just go to the web and search forged rods, pistons etc...
But I do recomend either of the 2 I mentioned.

You don't have to but you can. But that also depends on how much power you want to make. You will have to bore your block. Unfurtunately you can't bore too much on stock d series sleves.

What's your budget bro?

#81645 how much can you take out like .002?

#81655 You can only bore 1mm over.
Stock is 81 so after boring it'll be 82mm. Its the most you can bore on stock sleves.
Which is not worth the money.
Either re-sleve with bigger sleves or go b series.

#81662 D series is 75mm bore.
bore .020 over and you can use a 75.5mm piston.

it is a good idea on higher mileage motors that may have cylinder wear.

Vitara pistons are a cheap alternative to forged aftermarket ones for the D16. But definitely go with forged rods for a strong boosted setup, Eagle rods are a good bang for the buck. You'll need to notch the block for beefier aftermarket rods.

If you are planning on boosting, be sure to stick with stock compression ratio pistons.

#81690 from what i see, SRP and CP have 9:1 CR forged pistons. i don't know if manley has a 9:1 piston setup.

I used Wiseco pistons and it dropped my compression to 8.5:1 which hurt my low end and required more PSI to gain the same power. :(

Well I named those brands mainly for the rods but manley does have 9:1. :D
