- Tue Dec 16, 2008 5:36 am #83943 I am boosting a d16y8 block with a d16z6 head, I was told that when I get head studs I will have to get a set for the y8 then buy another set for the z6 and only use 1 stud. Does anyone know if this is true? If so is there anywhere that I could get just one head stud?

Are the two blocks identical (y7,y8)? Would ARP run different studs for the two blocks? i'm thinking about buying a y7z6 motor and wanna go with ARP's. I'll need the one Z6 bolt with a set of y7 studs? or y8's?
