- Wed Dec 03, 2008 10:42 am #81701 at first when i saw the pics of when you first got the civic i thought that it was hit even though it cant move ... the civic is comming along very freakin sweeeet .. for the paint... have you tried wet sanding and buffing the paint with some wax or clay bar it? that might help.. iono

- Wed Dec 03, 2008 2:41 pm #81714 yea ill have to try that i really didnt even worry about wet sanding the clear coat since that fender is well kind junk but the only one i could find at my junkyard due to a shortage of civics i think i should be happy for that but idk lol might have updates today its once again 40 f here but yea i tihnk i may take a break and help a buddy with another honda A Big Red lol 3 wheeler!

- Tue Dec 16, 2008 2:20 am #83910 So yea traded the car away already but i technically still have it in my back yard and I dont have pics yet but the car is 80% complete at this point if not alittle more I took the motor out of my Cx (will be rebuilt and have a different motor installed) but yea I got the motor running and such switched the exhaust manifold to that of a 91 si so i keep my cat he dont care....

But yea this is a quick update n stuff pictures to be up soon takeing them tomarrow since ill be done with it then.....and yea when they get posted lets just say i didnt like the hood he choose (its c/f and its somewhat warped ) but heck why do i care not my car no more lol.....but yea pictures will either be up tomarrow or weds since I have nothing else better to do.

- Tue Dec 16, 2008 2:38 am #83917 suspension went with the car lol and i think it was sorta cheap knock off stuff except for the coil overs since upper control arms resembled skunk 2 but no stamp or any code like that on them and no name or stamp or anything on the coil overs and springs as well as the shocks......

I traded for a much needed truck a nice 1996 Chevy S10 stepside (4x4 5spd) though its another project was never wrecked. And I also got a Xbox 360 premium with the $100 wireless router some games 3 controllers and cooling fan and stuff like that but yea I think it was worth it because that shell wasnt as clean as i thought rusty quarters covered with bondo but ohhh well already did the trade I only need one hatch or I will keep spending more money to customize them to fit my likeing and now with a truck no need to carry motors trans or anything of that manner in my little hatch.....Did all that carrying in my Cx

But yea im still keeping my Cx I like it alot better than the Si for some reason but yea already got a nice ex tranny im going to rebuild with shift linkage and alotta other stuff which i most likely will sell the 5spd swap stuff only keeping the trans n linkage btu yea anyhow pictures tomarrow or weds. cars getting done no matter what Tuesday....

- Tue Dec 30, 2008 1:31 am #86061 ok so its alittle later than i thought i would of gotten them by but when i finished the car it was dark n well i just let her go well today got another chance to since the kid still needed some help hooked up vtec to the stock harness.....i disconnected it when it was in my cx....and well also got him a wiper motor and horn for his car since again he couldnt get his to work....well anyhow here are the pics first the pic of the melted relay lol its got a slight gangster lean....



And now for the somewhat finished product i mean i am not happy with the hood fitment and aftermarket fender fitment either but yea not mine no more so dont truely care....

thats actually an old school honda accord shifter the '84-'85 style accord that is it closely resembles a stash of 84-87 civic/crx shift knobs i have stored away because they just seem to be the best of both worlds for me and well yea mine are black and that was an odd ball shifter knob so i threw it in there so he had something.

Ohhh n please excuse the bumer i had it on there perfectly but i guess he hasnt raised the car up and well has scraped a few times
