Hello Everyone been on this forum for awhile now but never posted much. I have a 92 dx with a d16z6 swapped into it. The car is just a nice little project car because i also have a 2002 em2 that is slow as balls so i dumped a ton of money into a sound system because i worked at an audio shop.
Alright down to buisness, I am the tenth owner of this hatch so i really have no idea the history of the car well i do no it hasnt been in any accidents but with a swapped motor and cluster i have no idea mileage or health of the z6.
So the question is should i spend money and boost the z6 i no that arp studs are a given but not knowing the history or mileage should i rebuild the engine with some good internals and so on. Will a compression test be enough to know that its a solid enough to hold boost or not?
If i decided to scrap this motor i would probably just build a nice reliable b series im looking for a goal of 200-250 something fun and quick enough but nothing to ridicoulous that its impossible to even get the power to the ground.
This is my problem i hope someone can shed some light or help me make a decision. Thanks
