#100041 Hello Everyone been on this forum for awhile now but never posted much. I have a 92 dx with a d16z6 swapped into it. The car is just a nice little project car because i also have a 2002 em2 that is slow as balls so i dumped a ton of money into a sound system because i worked at an audio shop.

Alright down to buisness, I am the tenth owner of this hatch so i really have no idea the history of the car well i do no it hasnt been in any accidents but with a swapped motor and cluster i have no idea mileage or health of the z6.

So the question is should i spend money and boost the z6 i no that arp studs are a given but not knowing the history or mileage should i rebuild the engine with some good internals and so on. Will a compression test be enough to know that its a solid enough to hold boost or not?

If i decided to scrap this motor i would probably just build a nice reliable b series im looking for a goal of 200-250 something fun and quick enough but nothing to ridicoulous that its impossible to even get the power to the ground.

This is my problem i hope someone can shed some light or help me make a decision. Thanks

#100069 If You Wanna Go Fast on a D go Boost They Love It !

If your goal is 200-250hp; With Stock Internals D's can Handle up to 225HP; and with the money you'll waste on a B you can buy the turbo parts plus ARP's; Vitara Pistons and Rods;

my 2 cents

BTW i'm Rocking a Z6 @ 10 Psi Stock Internals
with PS & AC

#100247 i think i would be happy, for now at least, with 200 - 250 something like that would be a quick little hatch. I do have some black smoke sometime i havent had the car e-tested yet so im not sure what the deal is. Gonna have it compression tested and checked out soon.
