I got a D15b7 Block off craigslist for $100. Maybe not the best deal on the planet but it will let me drive my Purple Kush agian so I cant complain.

Header got some Hi-temp Paint :lol:

Tomorrow I will finish preparing my D15b7 block, then drop my z6 Vtec head on it.

I am going to put on a replacement D16z6 Timing belt and Water pump.
expect pics tomarrow evening.

My head is sitting on my D15b7 Block. All torqued down. I was going to put the Timing belt on and ran into this.

The bolt head for the timing belt tensioner is super striped, I cant go anything to get i off. :x
I will figure something out. Most likely will be going back at Friday

Everything is set to Top Dead Center, Just need to put the timing belt on, Reattach transmission, Clutch is already put on the flywheel. and stick the engine back into my car.

Thanks, I found a way to take care of the bolt, or atleast try.

First I used a Impact Driver, FAILED to do the job,

Gear Pully holding on a breaker bar, Good idea, however it also FAILED. Made the vaugeally hexigon shaped bolt nice and round :x

However had the block before me messed that bolt up good. :thumbdown:

After 10-15mins of Grinding i have this.

Thanks to that I was able to put the timing belt on and get everything ready to put into the car. :thumb:

Everything is ready to go into the car, Just need to attach the transmission and drop her into the engine bay.

If everything goes according to plan I will be driving this to the honda meet Friday Night.

Ex,

I had a Full d16z6 setup with EX Transmission, I just swaped blocks because of rodknock. I will most likely build up the d16z6 block with new rods/pistons. then throw that into my Sedan after I swap a better engine into my Coupe. :thumb:

cool, thats what i did with my z6, rebuild w/.02 over.
so nice to have a brand new motor

The mini-me is only temporary. Come Tax-Return time I will getting either a B16 full swap or a J32 Type-S Swap.

Drove my car for the first time in what feels like forever, tons of fun ripping on Vtec again. It was having issues with cooling, I finally got all the air out of the system and its finally now staying cool. Timing is all dialed in. Seams to be doing pretty good.

All Major work is done. I think i might have a Vacuum leak somewhere. Will look into this more tomorrow after work before going to a Honda Meet.

I am going to a Honda Meet tomorrow Night, will have tons more pics then.

Have the Minime just about all dailed in. No real updates will be coming until I get a new engine to swap in place of the Minime.

Sorry about the late response. Havn't been watching this thread. Just noticed the update showing a buddy some stuff off of it.

At time of Sell I had a 2001 Integra and a 1993 Civic Sedan. I know also have a 1999 Civic Hatch w/ B16 Swap.

I sold her because I rebuilt the Transmission, then not even a week later I got rod knock. I then built a mini-me. I Finally got everything running good. I just didn't have the same fun times with the car afterwords.

I also wanted to swap in a v6 from a TL Type-S. However the ABS Stuff got in the way. I was frustrated at the car and got suggestions from everyone around me to Sell that car now that everything's running perfectly.

I drove around with a for sell sign for a few days and wasn't really trying to sell it to hard until someone came to me with Cash and wanted to buy the car. So I sold it.

I was looking at S13 Hatches as I wanted something new. However a few deals on them never fell trough, I was then going to get a Mint DC 4door. However that guy flaked to. So I ended up buying my EK Hatch I have now.

At times I do miss her. Especially when driving my Sedan and wishing it was faster like my Coupe was. However I Love my EK Hatch. Someday I will get another EJ Coupe or a EG Hatch.
