What do I need to build my Head?

D15, D16, D17 and Mini-Me swaps

- Tue Mar 17, 2009 3:16 am #103792 How much do you have to spend and how much power are you looking to make. What other mods will be done to the engine? Look into a cam, porting/valves and upgraded springs. But it really depends on the other things mentioned.

well the money is a little tight... i think i got enough for some good parts but am not sure how much hp may like 250 or something around there... as for the block VITARA TURBO PISTONS, EAGLE H-BEAM Rods not sure what else do i have to do to the block... Cause am planning on going sohc turbo

For the head, just get a turbo cam, springs retainers and a cam gear. if you can, go ahead and give it a good port and polish. Dont need it, but it wont hurt.

as for the turbo cam what do mean (camshaft)

also bisimoto.com makes custom cams for hondas. his stage 1.2 is another popular choice for turbo d16z6's
i recommend new springs and retainers and valve seals too.

you don't have to do much 'head work' for a turbocharged d16. if you want more power, you just turn up the boost, and tune accordingly
