I bought my civic a few months ago, with it bare metal in the hatch area. Finally I got tired of that, removed the back seats, and sprayed some plastic down to make it look better and to get rid of some of the noises, and welded in some holes I found while sanding.
So it has finally started to rain like crazy, and I go out to the the Civic for a trip out of town. I push my driver seat forward to get a few things out of the back, and notice some water in the spare wheel area. So I know it's been leaking, but it was going out of the holes so I never saw it.
I was wondering what area it would probably be leaking from. I plan on keeping the back seats out and doing some custom work in the back, and if it leaks that will ruin hundreds of dollars after I get it all installed. I was lucky to have welded up the holes or I'd have never known until it was too late!
