- Tue May 05, 2009 1:03 am #114922 alright i have a 94 civic dx sedan non-vtech 1.5L can any body tell me what type of d series is in this and about how much hp i could get if i rebuilt it and turbo'd it

They are 102 HP, 95 ft lbs tq.

How much power you can get by turboing all depends on how much you have to invest into the motor and fuel management. You could hit 150 WHP with a small turbo no problem, or you could put a lot of $$ into the block & good tuning and have 300+ HP. At some point though, it makes sense to start with a D16z6 since they have better aftermarket parts and are a little stronger than the D1b7's
