#114966 i juz convert my D15B from auto to manual,but seems the auto is more power than manual,n the CEL is on !! what happen ?
i just replace my auto ECU to manual ECU today,but the CEL also still on
any idea?help plzzz

#114996 if its solid could be you have a bad ecu....thusly meaning your motor could be in limp mode now which would be showing a lack of power....

#115002 if your cel isn't reading/flashing with the manual ECU, then try plugging in your old auto one. It should throw a code for sure (auto ecu on a manual car) and see if it will blink. If so, then your manual ECU has a problem.

Also be sure to clear the codes in between switching ecu's by disconnecting the battery for 20 mins. (or the codes should be cleared as soon as you unplug the ecu - somebody know for sure?)

yes 20 mins is usually enough time.

are you sure you are using the jumper harness correctly as mentioned in the start of this link:

#115237 today send to mechanic check again,the cel light is everytime in long flash n keep in long flash continuosly,no short flash
my mechanic say never saw this before

10 IAT - intake air temperature sensor

I would check your IAT sensor, white plug with 2 wires, usually on the lower back side of the intake manifold

but what is the function for the IAT actually ?
i dint see any different before and after replace the IAT
now i have using manual ECU,but the power still same "lack of power"
do i need to do some tuning ? or any other thing ?
and i notice something is when in 5th gear with 100kmh,my rpm stay on 2,000 only !!
and if 2nd gear in 100kmh,the rpm at 5,000
is it possible ? 2nd gear can reach 100kmh but rpm only 5,000,vtec even havent engage.
any idea ?

#115469 yea it realli is, afta i converted my coupe 2 manual i cud hit about 39 mph in 1, 70mph in 2nd, nd i took it 2 105mph in 3rd nd cud have went more but sumbodi cut me off, everythin is still stock nd tha auto ecu, im also goin thru dat same lack of power, it pulls hard in 1st nd 2nd bt as soon as i get into 3rd i get nuttin

#115475 your RPM's sound correct to me. 5th gear @ 100 kmh is going to be a lot less than 2nd gear at 100knh. That's just how a manual transmission works.

If you're trying to accelerate in 5th gear @ 100 kmh / 2000 RPM, your car is not going to be very responsive. Downshift into 4th gear to accelerate, or even 3rd if you really need to go faster. 5th Gear is really just for cruising after you accelerate through the other gears.

when i drive in 20-30kmh on road with 2nd gear,but if suddenly i wan to overtake n accelerate it with deep press my pedal in 2nd gear also,n there is no power to push the rpm up untill when slowly i reach at 60kmh n this time i can feel the 2nd gear power n continue push untill 100kmh
i feel no power to overtake in 2nd gear when 20-30kmh,imposible to ask me downshift to 1st gear ?
i dono my explanation is correct,hopefully u understand~
