- Mon May 18, 2009 7:33 am #117533 i recently swapped a gsr into my ej1. in the beginning all was well. now every time i start my car and drive i hear a strange ticking noise coming from the engine when i accelerate. i hear the noise only for a while until the engine is warmed up. that is my first problem.

my second problem just started to happen yesterday. i was driving on the freeway and it felt as if on of my wheels were loose. i pulled over and checked but they were all fine. i started driving again and noticed that that feeling only happens when i accelerate to go faster. if i stay on a certain speed, the feeling goes away. i know its not the wheels, because it feels like the small shaking feeling is coming from the engine. could if possibly have something to do with the pistons or valves?

could anyone help me?

- Mon May 18, 2009 7:50 am #117536 with my old gsr.... if it was cold, thats what it would do.... i use to make sure it was warm befor going over 3 and i never had that problem again...

and for number 3. im not even close to a pro or even someone who thinks he knows whats he doing... but i would check the balance of the tires??? maybe take it somewhere that does over a 70mph balance??? thats just what most places do in mt... i dunno where ur from...
