Well the whole month of may my car had been working like shit, barely running, smoking, stalling at red lights all the time, and burning oil. so i decided it was time to solve the "problems".
so june 3rd i parked the car and now i'm driving these...
brothers truck
girlfriends car
my bmx
the place i'm doing all the work.
did the whole tear everything attached to the car off...in that process i found a few leaks, that will be fixed later in the summer.
and my turbo was only bolted on with three bolts...one must have fell out somewhere along the way.
no more innercooler/charge pipes:(
then started blocking the car up, the teal dx way.
me wrenchen away
jacking the engine out haha.
and there it was done.
ok now that thats out, i will be replacing it with a JDM DOHC ZC.
This ZC has quite a history haha, i bought it before i had my SI for $1100 with tranny and everything, and was going to swap it into my CX, but the si came along then boost so i sold the ZC to a friend for $800.
6 months later i bought it back for 400, with a new timing belt and HG, i just got done reassembling it last night. and this motor has not seen a engine bay since it arrived in Canada off the boat. about a year and a half ago now.
re-assembled
my centerforce stage 2 clutch and pressure plate.
more updates will be comming soon... i hope to have the car running by the weekend.
