ever stop on the highway to pick something up from the road?

- Tue Jul 21, 2009 5:37 pm #132132 Yesterday morning on my way to work going east on rt 224, I saw what looked like a welding cart down in the median between the eastbound & westbound divider. I forgot about it on the way home but then saw it again this morning and it's definitely a big metal welding cart! Exactly what I don't have but would like :hehe: for free
224 has 2 lanes going each direction and a big grassy median in the middle.
Tonight I'm going to stop and pick it up. I'm going home an hour late so there won't be much traffic.
I don't know if I should pull over on the right shoulder and walk/run across the lanes to go down in the median or if I should pull over on the left shoulder (ideal but isn't that illegal?)

So have you ever stopped on the highway to pick something up from the road?
Was it worth it?

I wouldn't run across traffic.. thats illegal haha park close and make it quick 8) and remember... Safety first!

- Tue Jul 21, 2009 5:57 pm #132146 ya dont run across lanes. park as close to it as possible. if a cop stops ya just tell him you were moving stuff and this fell off you truck and you came back to get it befor it was taken :thumb:

No then you get a ticket for not securing your load.. (haha that made me giggle) but ya more than likely you wont be bothered. Just pull over put your hazards on and load up and go :thumb: Bam gotem

well there is always accedents. atleast if you say that the cop would be like atleast he came back for it and didnt leave it to be trash.. :thumb:

I've done that before too but I picked up an exhaust and came to find out it was off a friends car.

where on 224 was your find?
