cutting spring is danger ?

- Mon Jul 27, 2009 3:59 pm #133550 some others say cutting spring to makit lower is dangerous,but what is the danger actually ? i have cutting my spring "2 round" from original eg spring in almost 2 years,but i dint c any danger on it
i just to know each others opinion,i decide to cut another 1 round to makit 3 round

- Mon Jul 27, 2009 4:47 pm #133564 well most springs have a flat coil at the top and bottom to give a nice seat. once that top coil has been reomved it will no longer sit like it should or ride proper...... so ther is the possible chance it will pop off it seat.... really if you cant afford to buy some lowering springs off ebay for like 50bucks then should not be lowering it. so you take your own risk riding on cut springs. just cause nothing has happend to you or your car does not mean it cant....

i have cut about half an inch off my perches and they are ok and i drive the shit outta my car
