#136909 I try to get out and my door just doesn't open.... Got the door panel off best I could to check everything.

Problem: Driver door stuck, can't open from inside or out.

All rods and everything seem to be working as they should. They are all connected into their little arm connection things and whatnot, all actuate, etc. etc. Locks and unlocks from inside and out, both door handles connected to rods.

Solution: :?

A locksmith will not be able to fix this. I am pretty sure it's the striker, that latches onto the U bolt. How in the blue hell can I stop riding like the Dukes?

#136914 i would spray the latch assembly with some wd40 from the inside of the door and see if that helps any but it sounds like your latch is faulty and i would think about replacing it

Are you thick? WD40 isn't going to do anything. I know the thing is broken. I need to know how to get my fucking door open.

To stop riding like the dukes go through the passenger side instead the window :thumb:

easy there hot head...he's just trying to give some helpful advice, no need to get hostile.

so you said you're door panel is completely off ? You should be able to use a flat head in the actual locking mechanism and make it open while playing with the door handle.

#137240 The door panel is not all the way off, but it's popped up enough for me to see everything inside.

I cannot manually 'pop' the striker assembly. The u-bolt latch and striker itself is covered by a metal plate. Even if I could see it, it still wouldn't pop. It's why your doors stay closed when you drive.

I am about ready to ditch this goddamn thing. It is the biggest problem I have had with this car [not really saying much but whatever] and its wearing me out.

Seriously, you guys say I'm being a hot-head: imagine not having a working fucking door. :x

Still no reason to be a hot-head with us, we didnt break your door.

And if possible it would be so much easier for us to diagnose your problem if you took the door panel completely off and recorded a little video for us.

Never gave me problems, key fob was a little loose but never didn't lock or not open. It worked fine, drove 5 miles, tried to get out and -. Nothin.

Video- perhaps tomorrow.

There are rods going from each action on the door:
-inside open
-inside lock
-outside open
-outside lock

All those rods connect into the latch/lock assembly. The latch/lock assembly is protected by a metal plate and there's no way I can undo it without having the door open - go figure.

I will take photos and videos tomorrow
