#138787 yeah if only that would work for me, the whole getting the gut to go away thing... sounds like you got a pretty good plan for trimming down, not looking to build much bulk? doing cardio with the lifting, and eating good you should be getting there soon enough...i always find that on the weekends i slip on the eating and during the week i kickass because i bring my own lunch and no money so i can't buy anything :D

it's gotta be pretty hard with a family huh?

#138790 I wasn't planning on bulking at first but now that I've been lifting and shiz I do want to get a little bigger just trimming the fat first.

and yeah dinners are a little tough.. my wife is a fast food finatic lol (preggers cravings.. ) Ive been pretty good though.

Breakfasts and lunchs I do GREAT with. and weekends tend to be the same as a weekday for me seeing as I work almost everyday.

I'm waiting on my title for the hatch (friends mailing it from florida) then it will be sold and Im planning on getting some more weights for the straight/curl bar, some dumbells, and a road bike (a singlespeed/fixie)

I'm running a 5k in mid October and hopefully a 1/2 marathon in january! 8) :thumb:

#139700 welp been running on my days off... yesterday and sunday I ran 2 miles each day at about 11am.. that was too hot for me to continue. So today I woke up earlyish (7am) and went running. 2miles today it was nice outside.. but upon getting home I realized my knee hurts  I've had ice on it for a bout 30-45 mins and its feeling better.

I guess I'll switch to swimming during my time off from work!

I feel great!

#139718 check out bodybuilding.com they have alot of goal oriented workout/health/ diet posts that are tried and true . three to six healthy properly portioned high protien low carb meals a day , run every other day not every day and soda is by far the hardest to give up man it took me a deployment to give it up but damn im 5'7 185 with only 10% body fat it was way up there till i gave up soda ... its true i put on alot o muscle mass once i was sleeping properly from lack of caffiene even if you dont think it affects your sleep it does , rest is 50% of great health fallowed by diet and excersize .. good luck man .

ohh and that sounds like runners knee the spaced out run days will help with it , once the tendons get use to the pounding they take form running they will stretch out again .
