good parts are good parts.

but doesn mean good parts make good motors.

i dunno what you are trying to get at. but its a very good idea to micropolish a crank

putting NEW bearings on OLD surface is just a bad idea. even if it is "good" or "been good for last some odd years why would it not be smooth?"

you may not be able to see it on the crank but its there. and plus its only like 25-40 bucks at your machine shop.

its almost like changing your brakes

new pads require new rotors/turned rotors (if possible).

simple as that.

i dont see anything to back up your rebuttal.
