- Wed Sep 16, 2009 3:00 am #144027 lost my keys a while back and car bought a steering column with ignition,keys, and door locks from a junked car my friend had. how do I go by replacing it. This steering column has a crazy ass harness attatched with all kinds of shit. (teal where you @) do I need to pull the dash?

What's the harness, can you post a pic?

Anyone know how to just change the cylinders? my friend told me to jam a flathead in there to get it home then figure it out lol

- Thu Sep 17, 2009 12:25 am #144339 IF what you are want to know is how to swap the column and change the lock cylinder out then I can help with that. DOne both now too many times.


Since you are swapping the column out, you should not have to worry about taking the old lock assembly off. Makes things easier.
