It says main relay or something like that

And yeah, pandahatch, i had it go out on my 90 civic DX and the mechanic i took it to told me to whack it with my hand to get it working.... It worked for the majority of the time, actually until i sold the car to my buddy.

- Thu Sep 24, 2009 4:11 pm #146905 there is no ingnition coil per say, just a cap and rotor, thats all you can replace without replacing the distributor, the cap is bolted to the distributor, spray the heck out of them first, and the rotor is bolted to the distributor shaft. but whats working for bump starting and not for regular starting, have your battery starter and alt checked out at a local shop/ parts store its usually free, im betting its 1 of the three.

my battery and starter and alternator all work. the angine turns and turns.
i just pulled out my fuel rail and injectors for cleaning.
when i do bump start the timing and everything is good
