Did you get the axle put all the way back in? That would be my first guess. Then check so see if the diff is functioning properly by spinning one tire and watching he other one to see if i spins the opposite direction while the trans is in gear. If the other tire doesn't spin at all with the transmission in gear, you have a fucked transmission. If it does, do that in each gear to ensure that each gear is actually engaging. Next, get a buddy and spin both tires the same way with the clutch engaged and the transmission in first gear. Spin the tires a few times in the same direction to ensure that you have a good FD gear. Also, check to see if he engine is turning at the same time.
If the tires spin opposite of each other in all gears, reverse included, check the pedal. When you're under the dash, looking at the pedal, spin the MC shaft clockwise to push it out further. Check the pedal travel every so often to make sure you aren't smashing the throwout bearing into the clutch disc. If it does hit the throwout bearing, spin the shaft counterclockwise until it doesn't and check to see if it engages the transmission by starting it up and such.
If none of that makes any difference, you might have a bad pressure plate.
