fuel pump

- Tue Oct 13, 2009 5:14 pm #150460 i started my car from a cold start again today and after replacing my main fuel pump relay, the car would crank but the pump wouldn't prime. i left my key on the second click, and after two min, it primed itself. does this mean i need a new pump?

also, it primes fine after i have driven the car around a little, and when i turn the car off then turn it two clicks.

other thoughts?

- Wed Oct 14, 2009 1:36 am #150590 i'm going to the auto parts place after work to get a filter. i really hope thats what i need to fix the car. and i'd really rather not fix the pump if thats not the problem. this problem is just a pain in the ass.

more likley a bad main relay, fuel pump, or wireing to fuel pump.
