#152006 Also get the grommets for the spark plugs, Cam seal dizzy o ring rear main and crank seals. Dont forget the Cam seals either.

Make sure pretty much all the seals are replaces. Looks like you got a nice lil swap. Did you get the ecu as well?

All you need now is the half shaft and axles. Good luck, swap is super easy. You should be able to use your stock engine harness. I know I did.

already grabbed the ecu got that for pretty much nothing....but yea i grabbed a harness from a 92 civic so now im in research mode seeing how to hook up the map sensor plug into the actual harness and might as well wire tuck a bit while im at it....but yea all i need is the axels seals n the linkage n im good to go....

#152175 you should be able to use the harness that came in your car. might need to change to the 4 wire o2, but thats if you dont have it already.

Map, tps are on all civics from 92-95. and then some.

Well my cx harness i had has long since been gone i traded it for a si harness then sold that motor swap got another si harness for my mini me sold the head and stripped that motor and now im still on that si harness but im hopeing i can use a harness that i snagged from a 92 which had the map on the fire wall not the tb so its not really in the engine harness loom as of right now but will be. depending on if i can find out whats what on the loom itself....and im only considering that since i cannot find a 1.5 harness that either has not been cut horrifically, or isnt 5spd most of my junkyards car selection is 92s and really alot are 4dr autos i grabbed this harness cause it was never tampered with. or so i hope....

#152340 There's not a flame trap on the B-series. Take a picture of what you mean. More than likely I or someone else can tell you exactly what it is.

Good timeline though. I'm impressed. Wish I had a welder and an engine hoist...

#152393 all honda map sensors should have been on the throttle body. not on the firewall.

^ what 94_jdm_ferio said and good reference photo too....

but yea idk why i sadi flame trap probaly because i work also on volvos and what have you but its pretty much a vapor catch its the little black box thing on the back of the block. i know on the d series its just 2 10 mm bolts holding it in and the tube fore it runs threw the intake manifold.....havent taken teh time to really look at it on the b series....

#152417 On the OBD-I B18B1, the black box is the breather chamber. It has two lines coming off it. One goes into the crankcase just about directly above the breather chamber. The other one goes through the hole in the IM where it attaches to the PCV valve and another tube goes to the IM.

Yeah, I figured you were thinking about Volvos when you said flame trap... My brother has a 1993 940 and a 1980 242GT project car. He and I are always messing on the 242GT. Also did a 5 speed swap in his 940. That was actually pretty fun.

#152420 gotta say the 242 gt is my favorite volvo and i mean volvos you would never expect the power and i had a 940se and wish it was 5spd i was told you couldnt have a 940 5spd because they only made those in europe......but yea wish i had a 242gt lol

but yea gonna grab one of those hopefully from teh junkyard soon. and the rest of the basics of the swap....my friend offered me a dc sports header with a rather large collector i just hope i can find a coupler or whatever you wanna call it so everything will work good but yea for 50 bones i think i most likely will snag that .....

#152426 Might as well rig up a catch can. I've never really understood how you would rig up a catch can on an OBD-I B18B1 because of the breather chamber... But it shouldn't be too difficult.

Only thing the 940 needs is a turbo. We have a T3/T04 and a manifold, we just need the charge piping and intercooler, but we're well on our way to 165rwhp of fury!

#161170 ok so update its been awhile lol

well i have been slowly peiceing together stuff for the bseries swap all i need now is to get the acels out of my junkyard only part really left. i got a spare dizzy lol and strange enough a brand new vent box from a 93 teg that was sent into the yard someone had convieniently taken the motor out for me and left it sitting there with the head off and such no problem all i needed was to grab that ventbox had a rubber cover over it and everything no rust what so ever woot. also got new used plugs from a newer teg that was dropped recently.

and now for the sadish news i guess i sold /traded my rims since the tires where shot and i dont have a job nor money to get new ones so i got steelies with good tires and a couple hundred. which isnt bad ummm i guess here are the last pics of the rims on my car.....

#161322 What year is your B18? The VC you have there is a OBD-II VC. I'm not sure if it will sit right on the OBD-I head, if that's what you're running. But don't take my word as truth, I've never tried to put an OBD-II VC on an OBD-I head.
