how can i adjust my idle rpms it stays at 2000rpm
it used to be 700rpm i tried doing it by the manuel but i cant figure it out?

- Thu Dec 03, 2009 3:32 am #159681 when I swapped in a y8 IM, there was not enough slack on the throttle cable, keeping the throttle body open a tiny bit.
Under the dash, there was an adjustment on the gas pedal to give the throttle line more slack which let the throttle body close all the way.

If that does not work, you can try adjusting the throttle body by turning the big screw on the side in further.

Advanced timing can also cause high idle, check timing while you're at it.

haha Only because I went through the exact same steps 7 years ago :thumb:

yeah I remember I made my throttle tighter so the pedal didn't have that dead space at first. people gave my car a little gas and were like whoa this thing moves! no it just felt faster, it was still slow back then :D

yeah i had a fuel filter problem so i changed it and i threw on the intank bcuz i had it layin around feels better.

Hey Teal do you know if anyone has done a d15b swap in a 87 civic?
