#160157 okay so i havent been driving my civic because i havent been able to get it registered yet, but yesterday i went to check on it and turn it on when i noticed i had about two inches of water on the passenger side floor  im thinking my windshield wasnt properly sealed after i got my paint job done. i really need to get this fixed because the water is coming in from right above my ecu. does anyone know how to fix a leak like this? i heard of just recaulking it myself but i have no idea which kind of caulking to use :?

any help would be appreciated thanks

#160177 personally i would only recaulk myself if it was a temp fix, i've never seen one done that didnt look like crap

did you have it done at an actual shop?

whether it is done by my shop or a glass guy that comes to our shop we have a guarantee that the windows wont leak, if they come back with a leaky window, it gets pulled, cleaned, and re-urethane d

i would look into that...

just an idea from the new guy :)

#160184 there is common rust near the bottom of the windshield where all the water funnels to. it would leak inside near the ecu. try checking that if ur not absolutely sure its the window.

#160228 if you have the time and patience check behind the front passenger fender is the frame and in the frame there is a "ducted" for the water to drain out to the ground.. it is possible that debris would clog this area and making it leak inside the passenger area.

( i know this because i was reading into this for RHD and it was explained during the build process.)

i checked that area there is no rust just some screws missing from the plastic panel idk if that would make it leak or not

checked this aswell and there didnt seem to be any debree build up :?

after i checked those areas i ran some water over the car and watched from the inside to see where it came in from and ya its coming in from the bottom right side of the windshield and running down the pillar and dripping right above the ECU.

i took these pics of the molding, you can kind of see the white clips showing where the molding should be flush (would be able to see it better but i accidentally took the pics in black and white)

do you think i should take off the molding myself and caulk it again, or have it done professionally? :?

also i cant take it back to where i got it painted at since it is all the way across the country and the work was done as a favor.
