#161794 hey peeps just need some advice again.

ok here goes, my mate sold me a cheap skeleton 2000 integra gsi (b18b2 non vtec) 120k on the clock, engine, trans still in just all the bumpers, lights and panels off.

i want to do an engine swap to my eg, i know im not going to get much power gain from it but i hurd b18 have thicker walls and better for turbo, i also got a single skyline GTR and 01 OEM WRX turbo which i want to put in.

i want to learn to install engines so the best thing to is to get into it.

i have a auto eg4 with d15b7 engine, i want to swap it with the b18, since their both non vtec would it be a straite swap and thats it?,

Should i swap the ecu?

also can i use the engine with my existing auto trans, even if its from a man integra or do i convert my car to manual?

also is it hard to convert to manual?

and should i go through with this?

any response would be great
cheers guys

#161816 Yeah everything should be plug in and play that's if you have axles shift linkage and mounts..

And if you are converting it to manual you will need mount for that trans as well.. Better if you use the b18 ecu

#161948 yeh i got all the mounts, shift linkage and ecu. i think the b18b2 pulls out 107hp i think well thats better then 77 hp in a d15b7 ohh well its a learning curve. i bought the skeleton car for cheap i pay more at macdonalds on a meal lol maybe ill find a RB26 for cheap in make it a CIVIC GTR lol not CIVIC GLI or in USA CIVIC LS lol

#162062 Absolutely use the B18 ECU. The B18 will run on the D15 ECU, but it'll run like shit.

When converting from auto to manual, don't forget about the clutch pedal/master cylinder/clutch line to the slave cylinder.

you will notice a major difference from the 100hp D15b7 to the 142hp B18b. not to mention the extra 30 ft-lbs torque. it'll be night and day performance wise. if you got all that stuff for so cheap definitely do it!
