#162607 i have a b20b in my 95 honda civic. the problem is that my engine does not rev pass 3000rmp. i spoke to a mech and said that it could be etheir my MAP or TPS. now i know some b20b have a crank sensor for the obd2 modle, but my engine not have it, could that be the problem as well? has a rough idle.

mods: my b20b has a b16a intake mainfold and it has a GSR aftermarket throttle bodie with the b20b MAP sensor and TPS, and the idle air control valve. And i have a po5 obd1 chip Ecu for the b20b and gsr injectors.

#162611 it may be the gsr injectors harming power but theres also definately most liekly its your tps sensor im going right after that because your running on a obd1 ecu which makes the crnk position sensor obsolite....so its most likely your tps but can also be your map....and the rough idle dose tell me that it can be a tps since it dosent know the throttle position or is not reading it correctly...

true, but today what i did is i grab my chip ECU and install it in my friends hatch, and it did the same thing it would idle and it would not rev pass 3000 RPMS so i think its the computer. im going to get a LS computer obd1 computer.

but a friend told me to take out the j1 out of the ECU to see if it changes.

#162680 what head is on that engine? a stock b20 head is the same as a ls head with different cams. That head wont accept a b16 intake manifold.

If you cant rev over 3k i would say its probally an ecu issue. It could be an issue with 2 step not working working , most of the time thats set around 3k.

the head on the engine is the stock b20b. the b20b and the b18b have different port size. my b20b did accept a b16a intake manifold ( with some mods) i can take some pics if you like.
