#164196 found this on another forum ... this is not my info but thought it would help

this person was asking for a b18c...

The 93-96 H22 Injectors are 325s... That will run excessively rich and may cause break up and stumbling along with a rough idle...

The 97+ injectors are 275s and would richen up the mixture quite a bit, but with the right amount of advance would yield very nice top end gains as well as decent low end gains...

#164376 What would be the best way to get as much out of the B16a2 engine?

if you want to Run N/A:
Cams
Valve/Retainers
lightened flywheel(12lbs is good balance for daily, 8 lbs for race only, 18 for better daily)
Awesome Tune
LSD
Aftermarket intake manifold(or ITR, it bolts up) and throttle body.
Good header, Sucha s a Bisimoto
2.25" or 2.5" Exhaust
Traction Bar(if you have wheel hop issues)
Then Nitrous :hehe:

Turbo:
Turbo kit(duh) t3/t4's work good on b16's smaller turbos spool quicker for better throttle responce, bigger turbos give more hp. I prefer smaller turbos personally.
Forged Rods
Better injectors
Awesome Tune
aftermarket intake manifold, throttle body
2.5 to 3" exhaust
LSD
Traction Bar(if you have wheel hop issues)
Nitrous, When you spray on a Boosted setup, you normally get 2x the power that a n/a engine would get, I.E. A 50shot will give a 100 hp gain.

either way you plan on getting power, B16 rods are only good until 300hp. If you want to go over that you will need forged rods to not ruin your reliability.

Another path you can go, Which I have personally thought about going down was making an LS/vtec. reuse the USDM b16a2 pistons, b16 head, and oil pump from the b16, get a new p72(b18c gsr) water pump and p72(b18c gsr) timing belt. as well as ARP Rod and head bolts. Giving a nice high comp ls/vtec which when tuned and mated to a b16 transmission can still run 92-93 octane pump gas.

If you want to get good power easily get your engine professionally chipped and tuned. I Personally have a b16a2 w/ type-R cams and a LSD Transmission. It has a pretty good tune on it, and pulls pretty good. Add 50-75 shot of nitrous(or more as in my case) and you will have a super quick b16 that people wont see coming.

#164573 I like your thinking lol
But im on a pritty small budget the chipped and remap sounds a gd idea but was also thinking about throttle bodies?
Are many b16a2 on throttle bodies?
