should i fix it or buy shell

#164928 im not sure if its fixable. lmk what you guys think. im trying to figure out the best solution to this. either buy a shell and transfer all the parts or "if" its fixable fix it and drive it. help me out guys 8)

Ontopic, You can weld some metal in there to span those gaps and strengthen everything up.

If you dont want to weld, or have it welded, Buy a new shell and swap your stuff over. Personally I would would weld it, becouse even if you try this and it fails you can always get a new shell and swap everything over.

#164934 im not sure how it happened but i stopped driving it and its just parked right now. im guessing it a big pot hole then just driving on it over time. pretty scary. -_-. thanks guys for the replys.

#164940 if your strut tower cracks now they can crack in the future...... start new and go for the shell. you dont know the extent of your damage.

#164948 plus f'd up strut towers can total a car per the insurance company, id go with a shell, that will never be as safe as it should be again.

#164974 you can replace that metal. i remember my friend that rebuilds cars either bought that section from honda or he got it from another car. BUT he did it because he has the know how and resources.

if you dont have experience in this field i would not attempt it
