#164230 im not trying to build size im 27yrs old 5'7'' ish 160 lbs and ive never taken supplements but have accomplished these goals. sadly do to lack of $ i had to put my gym membership on hold

bench press reps of 235 sadly down from 265max when i was in high school
leg press reps of 520
and can hold my own when it comes to running.

im not looking to get any bigger than i all ready am. was just look for a way to drop a few pounds and get back to my dieting that im used to , some times when i eat like shit i get used to it and have to get out of the habit of it, sugar is probably my worst addiction

oh and ive recently become vegan so whey wouldn't be my choice of protien anyway.
normaly that would be good advice tho so thanks :thumb:

#166537 Well I've put on 5lbs.. LOL not much but hey its effin hard to put on weight. I'm eating lots, at least every 3 hours. Lots of carbs, veggies and chicken/tuna/meat.
Always have my protein shake post workout. Multi-vit and a spoon full of natural peanut butter right before bed (need to get casein protein for bedtime).

Building a pull up bar that will bolt to my wall. Can't wait for that!

Hows everyone else doing?

#167965 Hey! Don't be tempted into joining a gym! its not really needed you can work every muscle in your body using free weights (dumbell, barbells) and a bench. Theres a million videos all over youtube about training each muscle, Iv'e been training for 2 years and the most dangerous aspect of weight training is lack of knowledge! If your aiming to loose weight you should aim for a rep range of 10 -15 reps, get yourself onto youtube or google and fill your brain with knowledge and then the rest is down to hard work and dedication! This probably doesn't help but hope but good luck anyways :thumb:

#168255 No way yo... Here's my quick layout of my weekend shopping to make my meals for the week in advance:

Bag of chicken breast (8-12 in a bag depending on size) - $6
Brown rice - $0.94
4 zucchini - $2
Carrots - $0.84
2 summer squash - $2
bag of red potatoes - $3.50
2-18pk of large eggs - $3.80
misc fruits - $5
Lactose free milk (either: soy, rice or cocconut milk) $3qt
big container of oatmeal - $2

$29 for 1 wk. (some of this stuff I only have to buy every other week so the price is not consistent. most of the time its cheaper)

29 seems like alot per week right?

divide that by 5 days -(im going by work week lunches/breakfasts)

thats $5.8 per meal well since I included breakfast stuff... divide that by 5.8 by 5 and that equals $1.16 per meal.

Thats pretty cheap yo.. break it down like that and the cost wont look so bad. Of course I didnt add dinner but thats a whole other ball game when feeding 4 people rather than just myself lol.
