D15, D16, D17 and Mini-Me swaps

#171702 Hey well I have a couple of questions with the materials needed I have the same engine a d15b7 traing to up grade to a d16y8 head; the following:

- Cyl head from 92-99 SOHC ex or 92-95 si.     --- I'm getting a head from a 1998

- Intake manifold (hopefully this came with your head).     --- this meant the intake manifold for the d16y8 right ?

- Distributor (depending on your head combo)   --- this also meant a distributor for the d16 ?

- ECU (P28, not sure about the OBD2 cars)   --- in other words the ECU I will need is going to be a P28?

- Head Gasket.  --- the head gasket would be a z6 for higher compression

- Use the timing belt that matches the head you will be installing.   --- a d16y8 head timing belt ?

- Water pump for your block.  --- same thing d16y8 water pump?

- Intake manifold gasket.  --- d16y8 intake manifold gasket ?

- Throttle Body gasket (although you can probably get by without a new one). --- it would be a d15b7 gasket for the throttle body?

- Spark Plug wires to fit the new head.  ---d16 wires?

- Head Bolts or ARP stud kit.  --- ok so here I would need a set of d16y8 bolts that are only going to fit on the two back corners, and the rest I would have to buy d15b7 bolts for the rest. For the head studs buy d16z6 ARP head studs that would fit in all of them eccept the two back or those two I'll be using y8... In other words the two back corner are y8 sutuds with y8 bolts, and the other ARP studs for z6 with d15b7 bolts. ?

- some wire and connectors, possibly a few other misc items from the hardware store.  ---- what do you mean a few misc parts ?

- Service Manual (for all the specifics, don't start without one). ---- lol and this I got already .

Well sorry guys lol is not that im traing to be a pain in the ass, but I'm traing to get everything done the right way. So please help me on this daudts.

Someone already took 2010 n00b of the year title by a land slide, not worth your time to try to win it...
