- Mon Feb 15, 2010 3:15 am #175400 Well Im young and nieve, and i went behind my parents back and bought a car. Well i got ripped off for the car ( paid $2,500 for it, and itw was probly worth $700 ), i had $4,000, but then got into some trouble with the law and lost it all it cost for lawyers etc..., so now im playing it day by day, week paycheck by week. Preety much a resteration job. Im 16 and i do work in a AutoBody shop, got a friend helping me out, his dad owns a mechanic shop and their are helping m out with engine components and such sometimes. Im preety much making this thread for my own satisfication and for you guys to maby help me out. Heres what i got for $2,500...

- Mon Feb 15, 2010 3:24 am #175401 Well its been 2 weeks since i got the car, and i try to go down to the garage everyday after work, but its winter here in CT and its hard to get there everyday, we stripped the car down because i want to paint it frost white, i wanna get as many jams as i can. We took out the head unit, and the $20 dollar alarm haha, there are spliced wires all over this car. I had to buy a new VTEC harness cause the vtec solinoid had the wire spliced off and it had a non vtec harness in it, haha. Well its better now, and runs alot harder, i got new axels, control arms, oil pan and gakset for it, so the front end is alot better now and drives nicer too. Im fixing everydent in this car but one section at a time, i do driver side my friend is doing passenger side to see who are the better body men haha, here are some pics. I will take interior pics tommarow, cause im ripping out the pack seats ( no need for them )

- Tue Feb 16, 2010 12:28 am #175622 Well im back from work, and the shop. Went there at 8 to 10 this morning and froze my ass off trying to get the ret of that sterring colomn dash trim piece out. Finally got it off, and ready to put the new one on. After work i went back, and took off the spoiler, and took out the rear seatss!! woo. I thought they would be heavier. They were like paper... Oh well it looks better i guess, now i dont have to worry about people asking me for rides as much haha, well some pics of coarce!!!

Anddd just a pic of the spoiler off, if it wasent for those shock things, the window would have broken, i unbolted the window bolts and though the were for the spoiler

- Fri Feb 19, 2010 10:57 pm #176494 Well in the past few days, we cut out both quarters, and i just about finished getting all the dents out of the door. One layer of finishing putty should make it ready for primer! painted the cold air intake for now untill i get that JDM dry carbon intake. Also got a new valce cover and painted it white and black, ill put it on monday and take another, pic because that will be the last for the engine for now...untill i sandblast and clear the headers

- Fri Apr 02, 2010 2:02 pm #185112 Well its been awile since iv posted on here,since i lost my job everything kinda slowed down, but now there is much progress, i welded the antenee whole shut, ill re route it somewhere.. in the past 2 days, we put up both quarters so im preety happy with that, we used that weld glue around the tail light and wheel well, and welded everything else, iv begun stripping the hood, put some paint stripper on it, it got the base and clear coat off, so imma apply one more coat and it should get that off. Started working on the roof too, its kinda a b***h cause it oilcans like crazy but whatever, here are some pics!!


still have to weld the rest of the driver side quarter on just glued last night!
