#173779 easiest way isnt always the right or best way.......

easiest way to me and i really am strongly against this way is to pop of th rear emblem and the back part of the tailgate or trunk....place a peice of tape or something to cover up the holes and smear bondo filler over and sand.....i left out a few steps because its the easy way not the right way.....

right way would either be to weld up the holes, or cut out the metal with the holes in it for a peice of sheet metal to the cut hole weld it in bondo up the seams and make it flush then paint...

#175069 Yup.. just weld them up. Small tacks one at a time so you don't get it too hot and warp anything. Then grind, Sand, Glaze, Primer and Paint it.

#182041 You don't have to weld a piece of sheet of metal.. the holes are small enough to just tack them until you fill it in. Bondoing it is just lazy and useless.

Like I said before:

yup just like this. bondo is not a filler. its just suppose to be used as a light coat for smothing out ruffness. not suppose to make bondo thicker than a dime :thumb:

#183652 i removed mine and welded it shut :) no bondo or cracking in the future, but then that also comes with a new paint job also.
